Japan has 4 seasons which provides different features.
You can enjoy each season with different activities and events.
SPRING
March to May
​The best time to visit: 25th March - 10th April
Viewing cherry blossoms is a cultural event for Japanese when people enjoy food under the trees. In this time, many of the parks are full of people with those who seeing bloomed cherry blossoms. The best season of cherry blossoms is from end of March to the beginning of April. Most of the places are lit up at night so you can enjoy in daytime and nighttime.
SUMMER
June to August
​The best time to visit: End of July to August
Whole month of June is the raining season, which is annoying with humid, so not recommend visiting on this period. After that, it will be hot and sunny everyday. There are many special events and festivals from end of July to whole month of August since all of schools are in summer holiday. You should visit firework festivals and summer festivals that are placed almost every weekend in August.
AUTUMN
September to November
​The best time to visit: November
The best season for wandering under the coloured leaves is November. Autumn is not too hot or too cold, which is good for going on hike. Climbing mountains or walking around historical sites are the best activities during this period. Do not miss this season to find your favourite places!
WINTER
December to February
The best season to visit: 10th December - 15th January
The thing you can't miss in winter is Christmas light up which normally starts from the beginning of December . Each place is illuminated in different themes that give you different impressions especially in Tokyo. Christmas became a large event for Japanese but still New Years' Eve and New Year's Day are more meaningful. You can see the unique traditional New Year's decorations and full of people at temples/shrines as it is a traditional way to wish for having a great year.
